What exactly are the VA benefits and do you help file for them?
Aid and Attendance is a pension the Veterans Administration provides Veterans and their Spouses to help cover the cost of senior living.There are specific requirements. Please check the VA site for more information.
Are there common areas and rooms available for residents and their guests?
Cedar Trails community offers several areas for friends and family to gather. We have a small dining room, a game room, a coffee shop and two outside areas that can be used to entertain your friends and family.
Are meals included?
Freshly prepared meals are available every day for our residents and guests are welcome to join you for a small cost.
What activities and services are available?
At Cedar Trails, we make sure our activities are fun, varied, and are customized to what our seniors have requested.
How do you reserve an apartment?
Reserving an apartment is very easy. With a small deposit and a community fee, our senior living counselor will assist you in completing our application process. Contact us at (618) 539-9190.
Will I have a curfew?
Our seniors are free to come and go as they please, with no set curfew times.
Can I smoke?
We are a smoke free community, though we do maintain a designated outside area that residents and their guests can go to smoke.
Can I drink alcohol?
We believe in maintaining your independence. We have a weekly "Happy Hour" where we serve wine, beer, and snacks. Residents are welcome to stock their fridge in their apartment with whatever they like.
What are the visiting hours?
You are welcome to have guest anytime day or night.
Is transportation available or do residents need a car?
Residents are welcome to keep their cars. Cedar Trails provides a bus for scheduled group outings, as well as doctor appointments, and trips to local merchants.
